About this hotel

YING'nFLO, Wesley Admiralty sits in the heart of Hong Kong Island between Admiralty and Wan Chai MTR stations, giving easy access to the main sights and to Tsim Sha Tsui across the harbour. Shops, restaurants and public transport — including the "ding ding" tram — are all around, with Lockhart Road's bar strip just a short walk away.

Rooms are small but functional, with good soundproofing. Guests mention how clean the rooms are and praise the quality of the soft towels. There's an on-site restaurant, a fitness centre and Wi-Fi throughout.

Who it suits: travellers who want a compact but well-located Langham Hospitality property between Admiralty and Wan Chai, within walking distance of Lockhart Road's bars.

On the downside: some reviews raise serious hygiene concerns — mould on the walls, dust on the curtains, hair found in the room — along with instances of staff entering rooms without warning and disputes over deposits tied to smoking accusations. Outlets are European-style, so there may not be enough adapters to go around, and breakfast is fairly modest.

The hotel is wonderfully located: very easy to reach every sight on Hong Kong Island and to cross the harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui. There are plenty of popular restaurants nearby, and the 'ding ding' tram stop is right downstairs — everything for travel, shopping and food adventures in one spot. The double room I stayed in was on the small side, a typical compact Hong Kong room, but perfectly workable for two. Overall, clean and cosy. The décor and amenities lean more hostel-style, but plenty of business travellers pick this place too for the good value. The in-house restaurant has a relaxed, pleasant vibe, ideal for unwinding. Breakfast choice isn't huge, but given the price the food is refined and good value. A great option for a short trip.

The room was really damp! Black mould on the ceiling and walls. The outlets aren't European-style and the power strips couldn't handle it :( The curtains were dusty, clearly not washed in a long time.

A real hidden gem that I stumbled on by chance. The room is small but perfectly adequate. The soundproofing is excellent, which pleasantly surprised me. The hotel sits between Admiralty and Wan Chai MTR stations, right by a bus stop and the Ding Ding tram stop. Very easy to get anywhere. I'll definitely stay here again.

Good location, close to shops, restaurants and public transport. The room was clean, but amenities are limited due to local environmental policy. Worth noting, the towels were in good shape — soft, not old or worn. Breakfast choice is minimal, more like a bed-and-breakfast, but there are plenty of cafés nearby for extra food. The hotel is within walking distance of Wan Chai's bar streets, mainly Lockhart Road. A good hotel with small rooms for younger travellers and short stays.

Highly recommend The Hari Hong Kong in Admiralty! The location is fantastic: Admiralty MTR station is just steps away, making it very easy to reach Central and Causeway Bay for shopping. The rooms are very clean, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent. Front desk staff are polite and helpful, check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. In-room amenities are new and complete, toiletries are good quality, and the double room is spacious. This was my second time here, and the stay was especially comfortable. I'll choose this hotel again next time I'm in Hong Kong!

What they complained about

Choose carefully, everyone! At 8 am, hotel staff entered my room without permission while I was asleep, which gave me a real fright. Afterwards they offered a discount of just 10–20% of the room price, a little over 100 Hong Kong dollars. Do you think I need that little money? The hotel staff were completely indifferent about the intrusion. At first they got no more than a verbal warning. After repeated complaints we managed to get compensation of just 500 Hong Kong dollars. But who needs 500? The hotel's attitude toward guests from mainland China felt indifferent. The front desk staff seem completely clueless. I'd strongly advise women not to travel alone here — there are real safety risks involved. Even travelling with a man, choose carefully to avoid a potential intrusion. At check-in, remember you may need to call the Hong Kong Consumer Council and the police. Finally, I hope our country punishes these people soon. Seriously, where does this sense of superiority among hotel staff come from? Their English is terrible; they really should practise. Maybe they should work a couple of days at a hotel abroad to 'polish their résumé'!
