Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel

It really lives up to its five-star brand. Even though the hotel opened some years ago, it's still beautifully maintained, clean and tidy. Convenient location, easy to get wherever you need. I'll definitely book here again.

Everything was great. The hotel is conveniently located near the mall and the metro. Very clean, breakfast is excellent and varied. The staff are very friendly and try hard. On our arrival day, while we waited for the room, they arranged breakfast for us, which was really thoughtful. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows and a great view! We loved the outdoor pool, and staff looked after our belongings so they wouldn't get wet when it started raining. Such a nice touch — it feels good to be looked after. Thanks to both the staff and the managers.

I really liked this hotel — great location, very helpful front desk staff, pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was filling. This is the hotel where my eldest child once volunteered, and it was my first visit to Guangzhou... I'll come again next time.

We arrived around 11 pm, and the receptionist checked us in very quickly. When she found out it was our second stay, she upgraded our room to the same category we'd had the first time — such a nice surprise! The room was spacious, hot water came quickly, and room service was excellent too. The area is very convenient for getting around, shopping and eating. Grandview Plaza and Tianhuan Plaza are right next door, so you can step out and shop or grab a bite right away. My sister and I had a great two days, and we'll stay here again next time we're in town.

Very pleased! The hotel is very close to the business district, convenient for restaurants and transport. It was quiet at night, so we slept well. Everything was clean and hygienic, so I felt safe staying here with my family. I'll definitely choose this hotel again.

I'll start with the positives: excellent location right in the city centre, very convenient for getting anywhere. Everything else, for me, was simply awful — deserving a negative rating!!! 1. A complete lack of service. I was alone with two huge suitcases, and not once did anyone offer to help or even ask if I needed it. When I checked in and was waiting for the lift, the doors opened and a staff member walked out staring at his phone, while I had to drag my two giant suitcases out of the way to let him past! 2. The whole lobby was a mess, with parcels lying everywhere! They were blocking the walkways! 3. The underground car park barely has any spaces. You either have to wait for someone to leave or park very far away and walk to the hotel lift. 4. To register your car for parking, you have to go to the front desk every single time you leave to have your plate number noted down. But nine times out of ten when I went to register, there was no one at the desk! 5. The electronic toilet lid in the room was faulty — it kept opening and closing all night long without stopping! 6. For that price — thirteen hundred yuan a night — getting a hotel with such a mismatch between price and service was the biggest mistake of my trip to Guangzhou. Next month, when I'm in Guangzhou again, I definitely won't be staying here!
