YinYue·Sifu Designer Scenic Inn sits on the upper stretch of Wuyi Street, at the crossing with Yinyu Lane, in Lijiang's Old Town — the square by the South Gate, Qiyi Street and the Mu Family Mansion are all close by. The location is quiet: just around the corner is the main street with plenty of restaurants.
Rooms are done in a modern design, and there's a courtyard with a pond and fish. Rooms come with a humidifier — Lijiang's air runs dry. Staff help book tickets to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain along with oxygen canisters, and can get front-row tickets to the "Impression Lijiang" show.
Who it suits: groups of friends and families who want a designer courtyard with full-service tour booking handled by the owners, without spending time organising things themselves.
On the downside, the hotel sits up a lane on a slope — a real issue if you're travelling with heavy luggage (one review mentions being charged extra to carry suitcases in). Some rooms have also had mould, feel cramped, and have thin soundproofing.
