The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the East Gate of Wulingyuan, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The owner is very hospitable — his recommendations can get you a 12% discount at some restaurants. In the morning it's easy to grab a taxi to the South Gate, and the staff can help book discounted tickets. Downsides: lots of mosquitoes, I woke up at night from bites, and the bedding wasn't very clean. The hotel accepts foreign guests. Upsides: affordable price, about 30% below the chain hotels nearby.

The room was very spacious, daily cleaning was thorough, service was great, and you can even book an in-room massage. The hotel is within walking distance of the entrance to the Avatar Mountains. I didn't plan my route very well and ended up having to travel out to Tianzi Mountain, Tianmen Mountain, and the train station for Fenghuang, since the hotel is quite far from those places. But if you're planning to see the Grand Canyon and the Avatar Mountains, this hotel is a great choice.

Staying here was the best decision. They mapped out our whole route since we only had one day, helped with tickets, and we didn't waste a single minute. Huge thanks to the girls at reception 🙏🏼 The hotel is right at the park entrance — a 5-minute walk at most.

The room was very large and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. We stayed two nights. On the first day housekeeping forgot to clean, and when we got back we found they'd only swapped the towels. The receptionist was very kind about it though, got us fresh towels and took out the trash. The hotel is very close to the national forest park, and the surrounding infrastructure and transport are very convenient. Friends recommended this hotel to us. Too bad the café downstairs was closed.
