Bali is the ideal island for an unhurried independent trip. Everything is close here: in one day you can realistically meet sunrise on Mount Batur, walk among the Tegallalang rice terraces and watch the sunset at the sea temple of Tanah Lot.

Balinese Hinduism permeates everything around — temples, offerings on the sidewalks, ceremonies. A bike and taxi apps (Grab, Gojek) solve transport; the choice of accommodation is huge — from Ubud's guesthouses to villas with a pool on the cliffs of Uluwatu. The visa is arranged on arrival.

Why independently

  • A slow rhythm. Bali was made for lingering in a place you like.
  • Different Balis in one. Yoga Ubud, surf Canggu, the wild beaches of Bukit — for any mood.
  • Comfort for reasonable money. A villa with a pool costs like an ordinary hotel in Europe.

The dry season (the best time) is from April to October.
