Yangshuo Sanjian Yunshe Homestay is a small hotel in Huangwaini village, on the edge of the Shili Gallery, a kilometre or two from the centre of Yangshuo. Huangwaini village is in the most picturesque part of Yangshuo, between the town and the road of the Shili Gallery. It is about 1.6 km from here to the terminal for high-speed train passengers, roughly twenty-three minutes on foot, but a shuttle is used more often. Nearby are Xijie Street, the shows “Impression Liu Sanjie” and “Song of Guilin”, the field of fantastic rocks “Swiss Cheese” and the Totem Trail. Guests write that it is easy to reach the Xiangyue River and Xijie Street.

Tip for travellers: The best time is April, May and autumn. Summer is hot, but the pool works at full strength. Book tickets for the water show in advance, and on the day of the performance set out early: there are traffic jams on the approach.

For dinner you can use the hotel restaurant or go to Xijie Street. Beer with beer-stewed fish and fried snails are the main local snacks. Don’t forget mosquito repellent: they are active in warm weather.
