Ba Na Hills (Bà Nà, which tourists also call “Bana Hills”) is a mountain resort twenty-five kilometres from Da Nang, which people have shortened to two words: “the Golden Bridge”. It is for the two giant stone hands that hold the Cau Vang (Cầu Vàng) pedestrian bridge that people come here. But the resort is more than one shot: a French village with a “medieval” cathedral, gardens, the Debay wine cellar and the indoor Fantasy Park amusement park, where you can spend a rainy hour when it is foggy at the top.
The ticket is a single one: it includes the cable car both ways, entry to the grounds, the Golden Bridge, the French Village, the gardens and Fantasy Park. Food, souvenirs and a few paid attractions are paid separately. Children shorter than about a metre usually enter for free, and teenagers pay the child rate by height. The official adult price is given on the website of the operator, Sun World Ba Na Hills, and in the catalogue below you can book a ticket online for the date you need and pay by Russian card in roubles: at the turnstile it is enough to show the QR code.
The queues are created not by the ticket offices but by the cable car and the bridge itself. Bus groups from Da Nang and Hoi An reach the Suoi Mo station at 9–10 am, and by noon there is a dense crowd on the bridge. Those who win are the ones who arrive at opening, go straight up to the Golden Bridge, and leave the French village and gardens for later. The second option is to go up after 15:00, when the morning groups are coming down, but then fog more often covers the view.
The first cable car line from Suoi Mo holds world records for length and height difference: almost 5.8 kilometres of climb, which takes about 15–20 minutes, with views of the jungle and waterfalls. At the top you are met by the Le Jardin d’Amour zone with flower gardens, then you go on foot and by lift to the Golden Bridge, about 150 metres long. Nearby are the Linh Ung pagoda and a huge Buddha statue, then the French Village with its square, cafes and evening shows, and off to the side Fantasy Park, where it is cold but dry. The Debay wine cellar is also inside the hill, at +15 degrees, and it is better to go there in a jacket.
Allow 5–6 hours for the whole route. If you left the city at 8 am, you will be back around 15–16 hours, or after 20:00 with the evening programme.

If you want to combine it with Hoi An, stay closer to Hoi An or by An Bang beach. By taxi or Grab to the Suoi Mo station; the journey takes about 40–50 minutes. From Hoi An it is about an hour to an hour and a half, easiest as part of a tour with a transfer.
Drones are banned. Bring a windbreaker and closed shoes: it is noticeably cooler on the mountain, and in the pagoda shoulders and knees must be covered.
