Lu Yue Hotel (Shenzhen Huaqiangbei Science Museum Metro Station Store)

Came to Shenzhen with my parents to visit relatives. After comparing options we picked Lu Yue, and it turned out very convenient for getting around. The hotel is near two metro stations, and a bus stop is right across the street, so the older folks didn't have far to walk. Hospitals and supermarkets are also within walking distance. Breakfast is light and pleasant, well suited to middle-aged and older guests: various congees, steamed pumpkin and yam, sugar-free pastries, fresh fruit. Hot dishes are kept warm continuously, so no worrying about cold food. Staff are very attentive to older guests: helping in and out of the lift, offering hot water and reading glasses unprompted. Housekeeping is done quietly so as not to disturb resting guests. Whenever we needed directions, they were explained in detail. The room has good lighting and a medium-firm mattress. Overall, warm and attentive service, ideal for a short stay with elderly family.

As a student travelling solo around Shenzhen on a tight budget, I found a real gem at Lu Yue Hotel! The location and value for money are outstanding. Just a few minutes' walk to the metro, very convenient for reaching all the main sights. There are loads of cheap eateries around the hotel, so no need to spend on expensive transport. Buffet breakfast is included, which saves on morning tea. The spread is generous: congee, buns, fried eggs, bread and fruit — plenty to fill up on. Freshly brewed coffee is free and just as good as what you'd get at a café. Reception offers special student rates, and staff are very attentive, treating every guest the same. They even gave me tips on how to save money on tours. Luggage storage is free and secure. Rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need. Every request I made was handled promptly. Getting a great location, breakfast and service for such a low price is a real find! Highly recommend to students.

The location is flawless — a few minutes' walk to the Huaqiangbei shopping district and the metro, and the big Futian malls are a direct metro ride away. The whole street below the hotel is lined with restaurants: dim sum, skewers, beef hotpot, you name it. You can even grab a late-night snack. The hotel offers free parking, so no worries if you're driving. The room is well lit, has plenty of smart features, and is spotlessly clean. After a full day of shopping, a comfortable room instantly melts the tiredness away. For tourists, this is an ideal spot for transport, food and accommodation alike.

Chose Lu Yue Hotel for a trip to Huaqiangbei and don't regret it! The bed was firm and soft in just the right way, very comfortable to sleep on. There's a metro station right outside the hotel, super convenient for getting around. Plenty of great places to eat nearby, even at 3am. The room has a projector, so it's nice to watch something in the evening. The park and the sea are both easy to reach too. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Arrived in Shenzhen after midnight and booked Lu Yue Hotel last minute. Expected mediocre service that late, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very close to the metro, and taxis pull right up to the entrance even at night. The area feels safe, good security. Breakfast the next day genuinely impressed me! Even though breakfast time was nearly over, staff kept restocking congee, noodles, bread and fruit — nothing was cleared away early. You could order freshly made noodles at any point, and the hot food really shook off the exhaustion from travelling. The 24-hour front desk was very welcoming. Night check-in was quick and efficient, and they actively helped carry my heavy bags. Whenever I needed water or toiletries at night, they responded instantly. Soundproofing in the room is excellent, no outside noise bothered me. For anyone arriving late at night, this hotel guarantees comfort and safety.

Poor location; the ground floor feels chaotic and unsafe. Check-in is on the 3rd floor, on the same floor as a billiards hall, which makes the whole setting feel unsafe and uncomfortable. On top of that, service at the front desk was poor and unprofessional. The room itself was decent, but overall I wouldn't recommend staying here.
