The hotel is in a convenient location, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. The room is clean and fresh, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring a restful stay. The front desk staff handled the check-in efficiently, and their service was warm and attentive. The facilities are complete, and overall it offers great value for money. I had a wonderful stay this time and will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

I wouldn't recommend the hotel; it's quite tired, the furniture is all worn and stained, and there's a lot of dust on the surfaces. The bed linen is clean, and for that, as they say, we're grateful! The train station is nearby, which might be a plus for some. But there's nothing else within walking distance. Surprisingly, the breakfasts were decent.

A Superior King Room, priced at approximately 666 RMB per night, was disappointing in terms of cleanliness, facility maintenance, and after-sales service. I stayed at the Guangzhou Libai Hotel (Yuexiu International Convention Center Branch) and booked a Superior King Room. The original price was approximately 666 RMB (around AUD 142). Even after using my accumulated Trip Coins for a discount, the actual room rate was still approximately 577 RMB. Given this price and the hotel's perceived standard, I believe guests have reason to expect clean, comfortable rooms with properly functioning facilities. Pros: The hotel has a good location and convenient transportation, which I was quite satisfied with. Cleanliness: I checked in around 9 PM and didn't get to the room until nearly 9:30 PM. Due to travel fatigue and the need to do laundry and plan for the next day, I didn't immediately conduct a thorough room inspection. I noticed some surfaces on the table weren't clean that evening, and after a careful inspection the next day, I found several obvious cleanliness and maintenance issues: * Dust, stains, and debris on the tabletop, carpet, floor tiles, walls, and under furniture. * The bathroom glass partition and its bottom track had obvious limescale and grime buildup, with black spots in some seams. * There was a noticeable ring of yellowish-brown grime around the sink drain. * The bathroom fixtures and some facilities appeared old and poorly maintained. Amenities: The refrigerator in the room was not powered on and could not be used properly; the bedside socket was loose, and the phone charger easily fell out after being plugged in; the room window could not be fully closed; hand sanitizer was not provided in the bathroom. These all affected the actual accommodation experience. Public Areas and Services: The front desk did not proactively provide the Wi-Fi password upon check-in, and due to poor cell phone signal in the room, I had to return to the front desk to inquire. Additionally, there was a large area of white debris or dirt on the elevator carpet during my stay, which I immediately reported to the front desk. I was also bitten by mosquitoes in the elevator, leaving my legs covered in mosquito bites. The room window could not be closed. On the night of my check-in, I checked the real-time price of similar rooms in the same hotel and found that it had dropped to around 400 RMB. I understand that hotels use dynamic pricing, and price fluctuations themselves are not a reason for complaint. However, regardless of whether the room rate is over 400 or 600 yuan, basic hygiene and normal use of facilities should be guaranteed. Regarding the handling of the subsequent complaint: After resting the next day, I took several photos and formally submitted feedback through Trip.com. The hotel stated that if I had reported the issue promptly that evening, they could arrange a room change; they also requested that a manager apologize in person when I returned to the hotel to collect my luggage, but did not agree to a full refund. I understand that the hotel wants an opportunity to remedy the situation promptly, and I acknowledge that an apology is a way to express remorse. However, guests check into hotels to rest and are not obligated to inspect drains, the bottom of furniture, electrical outlets, and other facilities one by one. Not discovering and reporting all problems on the night of check-in does not change the existing cleaning and maintenance issues at the time of room delivery. Furthermore, as a traveler, I have already spent extra time taking photos as evidence, contacting customer service, and explaining the situation, and I do not want to change my subsequent itinerary due to internal hotel communication. I have clearly stated that I hope the hotel will directly coordinate with the Trip.com platform to resolve the issue. Overall Review: The location was satisfactory, but the room cleaning, facility maintenance, and complaint handling experience did not meet my expectations and the price. In particular, issues such as accumulated grime in the bathroom and room, loose electrical outlets, and a malfunctioning refrigerator and scale raised questions about the hotel's routine cleaning and maintenance procedures. For a hotel operated by an international chain and charging over 600 yuan per night, I believe basic cleaning and facility checks should be completed before check-in, rather than relying on guests discovering problems after arrival and requesting a room change. In short, the pictures and the reality did not match; it's advertised as a four-star hotel but falls far short of four-star standards. I have requested a full refund from Trip.com and am still awaiting the platform's final decision. This is my actual experience during this stay, provided for other travelers' reference.

The room was extremely dirty. The shower was broken and the water pressure was poor; we reported it at reception and they ignored us. The rooms are very old and dirty.

Facilities: The description and pictures do not match the actual condition. Hygiene: The shower was very dirty, the bed sheet had a hole, and the table was filthy with water stains. Environment: Quite noisy, and the train station is right next door. Anyway, it's not worth the price; I don't recommend it!

Hygiene: Terrible, terrible, terrible. The coffee table was covered in water stains, clearly not wiped down – just a bunch of rings. There was a thick layer of dust on the in-room phone. Environment: Awful, awful, awful. It was full of Black people. As soon as I entered the lobby, I felt surrounded by Black people. Service: Poor. They started cleaning the room at check-out time without my consent and didn't even call. Facilities: There's a TV in the room that turned on automatically when I entered, but... where's the remote, dear? How am I supposed to turn it off to sleep? Do I have to manually shut it down with the power button? If a guest wants to watch TV, do they have to ask the front desk for a remote? Honestly, I don't understand any of this...

A pungent smell, a dusty room—the same problem elicited different responses from the front desk staff. I will not be staying here again.
