Highly Recommended Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist, even via WeChat, which made everything so easy and convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, with a lovely walking path across the river leading to plenty of bars and restaurants. The metro station is also nearby, making it easy to get around. Great location, excellent service, clean rooms, and very reasonable prices. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a hotel I would recommend to anyone visiting Chengdu!

Xiaoyin was very friendly and helpful. Good location, price-quality is good. The elevator is dated and would be great to rennovate. But the room was great.

The hotel itself is quite good. The location is excellent, right by Jinjiang Park, near Jiuyan Bridge, and Anshun Bridge is practically on its doorstep. It's also very close to the bar street, Lan Kwai Fong, and Taikoo Li. The overall service was good, and the rooms were decent. Most rooms have a small balcony with a view, and the facilities inside were complete, clean, and well-maintained. Although the breakfast was simple, it was balanced and offered enough variety. There were mainly two downsides. Firstly, it's very close to the bars, which made it quite noisy. The noise from Jiuyan Bridge quieted down around midnight, but Lan Kwai Fong downstairs kept going until three or four in the morning without stopping. Plus, being close to Taikoo Li meant luxury cars often sped by with roaring engines late at night. Aside from these objective factors, it seems the room's soundproofing wasn't ideal, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Secondly, during the National Day holiday, the balcony door in our room was left open by the cleaning staff after they tidied up. This let in a lot of mosquitoes, especially since the temperature in Chengdu isn't low at this time of year, which affected the quality of our rest.

The hotel is located in a central area of Chengdu, within walking distance to Taikoo Li and Jiuyan Bridge, making it very convenient for travel and sightseeing. The guest rooms are clean and spacious, offering tranquility amidst bustling activity, providing a peaceful resting space in the lively city center. Staff member Xiao Liu helped me extend my check-out time. He was warm and friendly, treating every guest with care. Self-driving guests can use free underground parking spaces, making travel stress-free. Here, you can experience the vibrant daily life of Chengdu up close, and retreat to your room to escape the hustle and bustle. Whether it's for a short trip or an urban stay, it is a good choice for accommodation.

The overall style of Hidden Dwelling is elegant and minimalist. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the amenities are thoughtfully provided. The service is gentle and attentive, the environment is quiet, and transportation is convenient, with easy access to Chengdu's Lan Kwai Fong and Anshun Bridge.

From the entrance, the facilities looked old, the front desk was cramped, and the cleanliness of the guest rooms seemed poor. The provided foot bath leaked, and bathroom amenities were not sufficiently stocked (items like shampoo were left in small quantities and were not refilled). The breakfast also seemed to lack effort; despite visiting during the first time slot at 7 AM, only a small amount of the pickled side dish served with the rice porridge remained, looking like leftovers. The room view and the friendliness of the staff were positive. The view is good, and the location is good as it is in a central tourist area. Everything else was below expectations. Therefore, I stayed for only one night out of three and canceled the remaining two.

The hotel is worth the price: located on several levels inside a commercial building, it does not live up to expectations.

Good afternoon. The hotel is rated 2**. One* for the comfortable mattress on the bed, the other* for the nice view from the window. Sorry, but this hotel doesn't live up to the 4** ratings listed on trip.com! Don't mislead people! The hotel is located in a residential building on the 3rd, 13th, and 14th floors. The elevators are completely broken and have no air conditioning. The only public area this establishment has is stuffy and lacks air conditioning! All the furniture, except for the bed, is old and worn. The breakfast is very poor; the only thing they offer from the advertised European menu is cold scrambled eggs. The girls at the reception are very nice and helpful; they try their best to help and make your stay more enjoyable.

Wonderful Staff and Views, but Physical Upkeep Needs Management's Attention Rating: 🌟 🌟 I want to share a balanced and honest review of my stay at The Hidden House. While the property has a lot of potential and is marketed at a higher standard, the physical upkeep currently feels closer to a budget experience. However, with a few immediate improvements from management, this could easily become a fantastic place to stay. The Positives: Excellent Staff: There is no doubt that the team here is the hotel's greatest asset. They are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout the stay. The View: While the online photos are a bit idealized, the actual view from the upper floors facing the bridge is genuinely lovely, and having a balcony with fresh air is a wonderful feature. Security: The security layout is excellent. Access to the guest room lobby is well-secured and restricted without a key card, which provided great peace of mind. Areas for Improvement & Care: The Lifts & Public Areas: This was the main challenge during the stay. The building utilizes a two-layer lift system, but the lifts and the guest room lobby currently suffer from a noticeable and persistent unpleasant odor, alongside needing a more thorough daily cleaning. Because the staff and management walk through these areas every day, a quick focus on refreshing the air and deep-cleaning these high-traffic spots would make a massive difference for guests. Room Comfort: The building itself shows its age, and my room carried a bit of that stale odor. Additionally, the mattress was quite firm and uncomfortable, which impacted the quality of rest. Location Note: The immediate surroundings are scenic but lack daily conveniences like a nearby supermarket, so travelers should plan ahead for basic supplies. Dining: The breakfast selection is quite simple and ordinary; introducing a few more fresh options would better align it with expectations. Verdict for Management & Travelers: I don't mean to be harsh, but it's the truth that I would like people to know so they can choose the best and enjoy their trip. I also know these issues are easily manageable and could be improved immediately. The Hidden House has great bones, a beautiful vantage point of the bridge, and a wonderful frontline team on the ground. It is clear that the main things holding the property back are just basic maintenance, deep cleaning, and odor control in the lifts and lobbies. I sincerely hope management views this feedback as a constructive opportunity to refresh these areas. With just a small investment into hygiene standards and comfort, this could effortlessly become a top-tier boutique stay!!!

The air conditioning in the 'Quiet King Room' had a strong, unpleasant odor, like a stale, foul smell whenever it was turned on. I reported it to the front desk, and they said there were no other rooms of the same type available to switch to, and an upgrade would cost extra, which I understood. However, getting this room type seems to be a gamble; it was so bad I couldn't even use the air conditioning. On the first day, I was upgraded to a 'Fireworks Room' which was nice. But on the second day, when I extended my stay and returned to the 'Quiet King Room,' if I had known it would be like this, I would have booked a different hotel.

Loud music from outside until roughly 2 a.m., presumably closing hour. About 1 km on foot to Chunxi—the go-to shopping area. Nice night view at top floor - 14th.

Hotel is pretty bad and really not what I expected based on photos and reviews. To start the breakfast - very simple, poor breakfast with few options and not that good quality. Then the entire hotel looks old - the elevators smell bad and are in need of being renovated. The building itself seems old. The room was nice, although with a very poor view. Unfortunately upon check-in we found a big amount of hair in the shower's wall that wasn't cleaned... disgusting! Location isn't great - it's in front of a party area, so if your goal is to party, sure, good location. Otherwise a bit far from the center and metro connections. Upon leaving the staff pressed us more than once to write a 10/10 review... didn't appreciate it and I guess that's how they get most of their positive reviews.

The hotel is stately. It's spread across multiple floors of a residential building. Be prepared for the elevator to be dirty. The wallpaper is peeling in places. Fresh flowers sit wilted in vases. I'd mention the cafe where breakfast is served—it's on the rooftop with a view of the bridge. The food is bland, traditional. The European options include yogurt and cereal.

The location is truly convenient: 12 minutes from the station on Line 2, and it's also close to the business center. The reception staff is friendly, and the kitchen staff is always ready to help. But room 1310, the tatami room we were assigned to, was a complete nightmare. Under the white sheets on the bed, stains from previous guests were visible. There was a red stain on one of the towels that hadn't been washed off. The floor was sticky, as if it had been washed only with water without any detergent. The furniture was completely destroyed, the hairdryer was in terrible condition, the lighting was dim, and the room was dark. The wallpaper was in terrible condition, very dirty. Apparently, the hotel owner doesn't care about maintaining the rooms, which is very sad. It's completely incomprehensible why guests value the view from the window so much, but not the cleanliness of the room, and give high marks.
