Wyndham Danang Golden Bay 5*: A Rooftop Pool and a Free Shuttle to the Beach

The 24-hour stay option is very misleading. Don't fall for it; it just means the reception is open 24/7. Check-out is also too early at 11 AM. For a 5-star hotel, both the facilities and the location were disappointing.

Extremely disappointing experience at a so-called 5-star hotel. The front desk staff's handling of the situation was unprofessional, inflexible, and showed a lack of respect for customer rights. I was very disappointed with the service quality and how the hotel resolved the issue. Given this experience, I definitely won't be returning and cannot recommend Wyndham Danang Golden Bay to others.

Unwilling to refund even if I haven't stayed a day

Because I checked in late, the compensation the hotel offered was a meal allowance? They offered a 20% discount. However, hotel guests are already entitled to a 20% discount. It is not as if the hotel is playing games with customers (Vietnamese people are major players). They said they were sorry and would give a 20% discount when they had always paid the 20% service charge. This is customer-deceiving behavior (shady behavior). Vietnamese people treating foreign customers like suckers. Is Vietnam really a country where the character of the people is only this low?

As mentioned in the previous review, the location was a bit lacking, but they gave us an afternoon tea voucher, and also gave us some kind of dollar coupon for *** usage, haha. I didn't use it, though. But instead, when I mentioned that we came to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday, two staff members came over and threw a party for us. That was such a joyful occasion.

I booked this hotel after seeing reviews saying the sunrise or sunset view from the pool was great. If you plan to watch the sunset from your room for a week, you should choose a bay view room. Also, I wanted a high-floor room, but since the rooms are poorly soundproofed, I recommended choosing a room as far away from the elevator as possible. Since I stayed in a room close to the elevator, it was noisy from the moment I woke up until late at night due to the sound of people getting on and off. The breakfast restaurant is huge and has a wide variety of food, but there isn't much that is actually worth eating. This hotel is a package tour-only hotel, so there are a huge number of group tourists. You absolutely, positively must avoid the times when group tourists flock here. It is noisy and chaotic due to the large number of Chinese and Indian group tourists. Aside from swimming at sunset from the 29th floor, this hotel has absolutely no advantages. The hotel is located in a remote, outlying area. The rooms are poorly soundproofed, so it is noisy until late at night. The breakfast also doesn't suit Korean tastes.

We were very disappointed with our visit to this hotel! It was very dirty, very tired. The furniture in the room was old and dirty, the floor was dirty, and the balcony was dirty. The location is very inconvenient; you'll constantly need to call a taxi because there's nowhere to walk from the hotel, just construction and dark streets. Regarding the pool: the minimal number of sun loungers for a large hotel isn't the worst thing. To use the pool area, you have to take off your shoes and wear communal slippers!!! This is very unhygienic in the wet area; we were absolutely stunned (hello, mold!) To be honest, the breakfasts are excellent and very varied. Clean linens and good soundproofing are also a plus. Because this hotel is part of a famous global chain, we weren't prepared for such unpleasant surprises. We're extremely sorry we made such a mistake.

The hotel's location is terrible! There's a stinking river nearby. The only way to get around is by taxi, as there's nothing nearby. The hotel's renovations are shabby, and stains on the furniture are normal. I wouldn't recommend it.

Overall is ok just that stain found on quilt cover and bed sheet and towel smells abit seems not properly wash. Abit far from anywhere and have to be on grab all the time in and out
