We arrived in Kunming on a rainy day. When we got out of the taxi, we weren't allowed to stop in front of the hotel because it's a one-way street. It was pretty awkward pushing our suitcases while holding umbrellas. Catching a taxi was also hard — you had to walk out to the main road first. Still, the location was very convenient for travelers taking a high-speed train the next day. Also, I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and I got bitten by mosquitoes several times on my first night there, so I slept badly. Hotel hygiene definitely needs work. Luckily I was only there for one night. Breakfast was okay but not generous, and a lot of the dishes were cold. The taste was really mediocre.
