The Secret Glen Hotel

The Secret Glen Hotel is one of the newest hotels in Yangshuo, standing in Tieling village near Jima, in a secluded green valley away from the noisy town centre. The hotel was renovated in 2026.

The rooms' windows and terraces open onto a panoramic view of Yangshuo's famous mountains through huge floor-to-ceiling windows; the grounds, the lobby and the cosy inner garden are aesthetically designed and made for photos. A distinctive touch is the signature "puppy wake-up call" service and the three friendly dogs living on the grounds. At night it is perfectly quiet here.

Who it suits: couples and travellers looking for an atmospheric, design-led "secluded valley" hotel, prepared to pay more for the mountain view and the quiet than for proximity to the main street.

On the downside, the valley location means a certain distance from Yangshuo's busy centre, although according to guest reviews the main street is actually reachable faster than it first appears. The hotel is very new, so there isn't much of a review history yet — check the current details when booking.
